Ghanaian-born AAA founder Osei G Kofi is a purveyor of Africana par excellence. A serious collector and former managing director of Nairobi’s Gallery Watatu, Osei has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the vibrant African art scene today and its potentials. He has unique access to artists and artworks and maintains a database of Africa’s finest established artists and emerging talent, both on the continent and in the Diaspora; a boon for AAA’s clients in search for authenticity, originality and quality. Osei is of a network of art management professionals providing tailored advisory and scouting services to prospective clients. Osei was educated in Ghana, Switzerland and the UK, with degrees from Warwick, Coventry, and the University of Wales, Cardiff. He is a grandson of a paramount chief of the Asante Kingdom and his passion for art was nurtured early, surrounded by Asante regalia and aristocratic paraphernalia at court.
Our forte is modern African art of the 1960s-1990s, mostly figurative, impressionist or semi abstract. These early works have a compelling visual attraction and reveal best Africa’s ethos and mystical traditions, with its ancient symbolisms down pat.
